Robots dominate the manufacturing industry and in the area of welding robots, time and money are lost if welding caps have
burnt out, have burrs, or simply no longer provide the optimum welding quality.
To improve this situation, Pepperl+Fuchs has developed a new generation of welding cap sensors.
The WTS checks the quality of the welding cap fronts after milling on both housing sides, and detects faults such as faulty milling or burrs.
Coaxial optics with parallel beam path, a new display concept, greater switching accuracy, a homogenous light spot and a high positional
and tilting angle tolerance characterize the sensor and constitute a significant improvement upon the previous model OBV10.
Highlights:
- Special sensor for noncontact quality control of welding tips
- Larger detection range
- Accurately detects deviations in the position and angle of the welding tip
- Simultaneous evaluation of the upper and lower welding tips
- Easy programming with Teach-In
- Pre-fault indicator
- Scratch-resistant mineral glass lens
